Amsterdam Recycled
A city rebuilt from its own digital residue.
Amsterdam Recycled treats the city as something that no longer only exists in streets, bricks and water, but also in the digital residue it leaves behind.
The work rebuilds Amsterdam as a simulated field: lights, façades, roads, canals and traces of attention becoming a city that almost recognizes itself.
It is not a replica. It is a city produced from its own exhaust.
method
The project is designed as a GPU-driven point-cloud and particle system, translating city traces into a moving spatial simulation.
output
- real-time simulation
- video work
- installation
- webGL study
